The Arkansas Tech University Interdisciplinary Research Series will begin its spring 2018 schedule with a presentation by Dr. Joshua Lockyer, associate professor of anthropology, on Friday, Feb. 2.
The lecture will take place from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, in Dr. Robert Charles Brown and Jill Lestage Brown Hall room 134. All members of the university community are welcome to attend.
Lockyer will present the results of seven years of participatory action research to document reduced consumption patterns and experienced quality of life at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage in rural, northeast Missouri.
A reception will follow the presentation.
Lockyer joined the Arkansas Tech faculty in 2011. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Arizona and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Georgia. Lockyer earned the 2017 Arkansas Tech Faculty Award of Excellence in the scholarship and creative activity category.
