Rebecca Jean Peden of Green Forest has been selected as one of 28 representatives from Arkansas Tech University in the 2010 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Peden helped re-establish the Hull Hughes Collegiate Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter at Arkansas Tech and was elected that organization’s president. She has also served as an officer for the Tech Agri Club and on the Panhellenic Council.
Peden has also held membership in Gamma Sigma Alpha, the Order of Omega and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She earned the Carroll County Soil Conservation Scholarship, the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship and a university scholarship at Arkansas Tech.
Daughter of Iris and Joe Peden of Green Forest, Peden will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May 2010. She is majoring in agriculture business with an emphasis on animal science.
