Shanna Lynn Fauve Collins of Pottsville has been selected as one of 28 representatives from Arkansas Tech University in the 2010 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Collins was a two-time contestant in the Miss Arkansas Tech University Scholarship Pageant. She finished as runner-up in the 2008 Miss Tech Pageant.
A member of the Arkansas Tech choir program throughout her time at the university, Collins was also active in the Arkansas Tech Music Theatre Workshop, the Arkansas Tech Opera Workshop, the Arkansas Tech String Ensemble, the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference (CMENC) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
In fall 2009, Collins was selected to participate in the American Choral Directors Association honor choir.
Collins has been a member of the Dean’s List at Arkansas Tech in multiple semesters. She earned a university scholarship and a choir scholarship at Arkansas Tech.
Daughter of Cindy and David Collins of Russellville, Collins will graduate from Tech in December 2010 with a degree in vocal music education.
