C&D Drug Store of Russellville earned the top overall prize in the 2023 Paint the Town Green and Gold storefront decorating contest presented by the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce and Arkansas Tech University.
Now in its eighth year, Paint the Town Green and Gold is an initiative that invites local businesses and non-profit organizations to show their support for ATU by decorating their buildings in a Tech theme.
A record 36 businesses and non-profit organizations participated in the 2023 competition.
Additional winning businesses and organizations included Boys and Girls Clubs of the Arkansas River Valley-Russellville (best outdoor display), Jean’s Simple Treats and More (best first-time entry), Baptist Health Urgent Care-Weir Road (best indoor display), The Gunslingin’ Burger (Tech pride), JBT Corporation and Friendship Pottery Worx (co-winners, best Jerry the Bulldog) and JBT Corporation (people’s choice).
Arvest, Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Simmons Bank, Tyson and Arkansas Tech University are the 2023 sponsors of Paint the Town Green and Gold.
