9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Planned at Arkansas Tech

An Arkansas Tech University registered student organization will remember the sacrifice made by first responders on Sept. 11, 2001, with a 9/11 memorial stair climb at Dr. Robert Charles Brown and Jill Lestage Brown Hall in Russellville.

The event will take place from 6-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Full climb and half climb options are available. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle.

The memorial stair climb is sponsored by ATU Resilience in Disasters and Emergencies (RIDE), a student organization based in the ATU School of Professional and Community Education, and the ATU Department of Public Safety.

ATU offers a Bachelor of Science degree in emergency management and a Master of Science degree in emergency management and homeland security.

Cash donations in support of the event will benefit the ATU RIDE organization.
