Arkansas Tech University has announced a revision to its spring 2021 commencement schedule for Saturday, May 8.
The ceremony scheduled for 9 a.m. for graduates from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the College of Natural and Health Sciences and the College of eTech will now take place at Tucker Coliseum.
Graduates from the College of Natural and Health Sciences and the College of eTech should be prepared to walk at 9 a.m. as scheduled. Graduates from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences may now delay their arrival until 10 a.m.
As a result of moving the ceremony indoors, graduates participating in the Saturday morning ceremony are asked to limit their guest count to six or less due to social distancing protocols.
Signage will be in place at Tucker Coliseum directing graduates and their family/friends to the correct location.
Plans still call for the 1 p.m. ceremony for graduates from the College of Arts and Humanities and the College of Business as well as the 5 p.m. ceremony for graduates from the College of Education and the Graduate College to take place at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field.
Any further changes to the schedule would be communicated on arkansastechnews.com as well as the ATU social media presences on Facebook and Twitter.
