Students at Arkansas Tech visited with about 40 student organizations during a student organization fair in the Doc Bryan Student Services Building Thursday evening.
Cindy Tesch, coordinator of Greek life and student organizations, said this was the first time the Office of Student Services has hosted an organization fair in the evening, and she said the fair was designed to appeal to students who couldn’t attend the fair during the day.
Tesch said several students currently involved with student organizations visited with other groups to learn more about the numerous student organizations at Arkansas Tech.
Tesch hopes, as a result of the fair, more students will become involved in student organizations on the Arkansas Tech campus.
“There are many great student organizations at Tech, and by having those organizations in one place, it’s easier for students to get involved,” said Tesch. “Studies show that students who are involved in campus activities are more likely to succeed, so we want to provide opportunities for students to get involved.”
