Students once again have the chance to participate in the “Invest in Yourself” workshop series. The series is designed to help students polish skills needed to find a job after graduation.
During the workshops, students receive instruction on interviewing skills, resume writing, proper work attire and etiquette skills.
Dr. David Boop, director of career services at Arkansas Tech, says neglecting to perfect professional polishing skills could cost students a position. He adds, “In today’s competitive job market, it’s critical that students take advantage of every opportunity to set themselves apart from the competition. This series gives students the tools necessary to make a positive and lasting first impression.”
Boop says the series is offered each semester at Arkansas Tech, but space is limited to ensure students receive “personal attention” on the skills discussed during the sessions.
