Arkansas Tech was named among the safest colleges in the United States by website The Daily Beast.
The group compiled a list of the 50 safest colleges in the country, and Arkansas Tech University was ranked 41 st.
The group looked at a variety of factors including enrollment to determine which colleges are safest.
Arkansas Tech University was the only Arkansas college named to the list for 2010.
