Christian Brothers handed Arkansas Tech its first volleyball loss in almost a month by defeating the Golden Suns 25-21, 25-23, 25-19 at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday night.
The Lady Buccaneers (10-10 overall, 4-1 GSC) got 16 kills, 13 digs and three blocks from Kelly Nolan as they ended Arkansas Tech’s 13-match winning streak.
The Golden Suns (18-4, 3-1) had a team hitting percentage of .193 in the loss, which was their first home setback of the season.
It marked just the third time this season that the Suns have hit below .200 in a match.
Sarah Von Lienen led Tech in a losing effort with 11 kills.
The Golden Suns will host Arkansas-Monticello in further GSC volleyball action at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7.
