Arkansas Tech University faculty member Marti Wilkerson was recognized recently for her service to the Arkansas River Valley.
Wilkerson was presented a certificate of appreciation from the River Valley Prevention Coalition – Teen Leadership Summit.
Wilkerson, associate professor of rehabilitation science, also works as coordinator of the Academic Partnership in Public Child Welfare at Arkansas Tech. Additionally, she serves as the lead facilitator for the River Valley Meth Project, which is a program designed to combat the use of methamphetamine in the Arkansas River Valley.
In 2007, she was recognized by Arkansas Tech with the Faculty Award of Excellence in Service.
