The 2011 WonderWeek Committee has announced the rescheduled dates of the remainder of the WonderWeek events due to inclement weather.
All of the events scheduled for this week, including the Gold Rush events and WonderWeek competitions planned for the basketball games Thursday, will be moved to next week.
Originally scheduled for tonight in the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall, “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” will be next Monday, Feb. 7 at 9 p.m. in Young Game Room.
Tuesday, the RHA “Blacklight Casino Night and Oxygen Bar” will be added to WonderWeek festivities. From 8-11 p.m. in Young Game Room, students can play traditional casino games and win prizes.
“Let’s Make a Deal” will be held Wednesday at 9 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall.
The “Gold Rush” activities for the basketball games will happen at next week’s games against Christian Brothers as they had been scheduled for this week. Tailgating will begin at 3:30 p.m. and a pep rally starts at 4:15 p.m., followed by the “Scream for Green” competition.
The “Let’s Can Hunger” Canned Food Sculpture competition judging will take place Thursday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m.
“Even thought we will not be having the ‘Gold Rush’ this week, we encourage everyone to go out and support the Wonder Boys and Golden Suns as they take on Henderson State,” said Jake Smith, chair of the committee.
Each individual event has an event on Facebook. Search for each respective event for more information and updates throughout the week regarding any further changes.
