Construction of the Hindsman Tower is one of several construction projects taking place on the Arkansas Tech University campus this summer.
The tower is scheduled to be completed this summer and is located on the south portion of the lawn near the Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center.
The tower is named for Coach Hindsman, who holds the distinction of being the winningest men’s basketball coach in Arkansas Tech history. Under his guidance, the Wonder Boys earned 355 victories, 11 Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference titles, nine NAIA National Tournament berths and two trips to the semifinal round of the NAIA National Tournament.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held at homecoming last fall, and the tower is scheduled to be dedicated at homecoming this fall.
