The College to Career Center in the College of Business has announced an educational seminar scheduled for next week.
On Monday at 11:30 a.m., students will be able to gather in Rothwell 456 to listen to Dan Wilkins lead a workshop about non-profit business and entrepreneurship.
Wilkins earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and master’s degree in economic development. His career began in the 1960’s as the head engineer on a U.S. Navy destroyer.
In 1993, Wilkins began his career in the non-profit sector with Opportunity International. In his 12 years with the company, he developed numerous non-profit microfinance programs, such as Montenegro, which sold for $50 million.
Wilkins has also owned a commercial property management business in Los Angeles and a local fabric store. Additionally, he developed a small real estate project in Russellville.
