The Arkansas Tech Symphonic Wind Ensemble will host a concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday in Witherspoon Auditorium.
The concert will feature Steven Bryant’s Ecstatic Waters, which includes electronics and other sound devices.
Bryant studied composition with John Corigliano at The Juilliard School, Cindy McTee at the University of North Texas and Francis McBeth at Ouachita Baptist University. He currently resides in Durham, North Carolina.
He said this band is special to him, as his parents met as members of Symphonic Wind Ensemble during their time at Arkansas Tech in the 1960s.
The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Mr. Christopher Anderson, director of bands and associate professor of music at Arkansas Tech.
Admission will be free and the performance is open to the public.
