Former Arkansas Tech University basketball player Jeremy Dunbar will continue his professional playing career in Germany with a new team during the 2012-13 season.
Dunbar, who played at Arkansas Tech from 2009-11, has signed with the Cuxhaven BasCats for the upcoming season.
A native of Niceville, Fla., Dunbar averaged 6.5 points per game and shot 42 percent from 3-point range while appearing in 30 games for the Crailsheim Merlins during his first season in German professional basketball in 2011-12.
Dunbar helped the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys accumulate a 55-8 overall record and reach consecutive NCAA Division II Tournaments during his two years in the green and gold.
He appeared in 61 games and made 54 starts at Arkansas Tech.
Dunbar averaged 11.9 points per game and shot 41 percent from 3-point range in 2009-10 for an Arkansas Tech team that finished 30-2 overall and ended the regular season ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division II men’s basketball.
During his senior season in 2010-11, Dunbar averaged 14.4 points per game and made 36 percent of his 3-point tries as the Wonder Boys finished 25-6 overall and reached the NCAA Division II Tournament regional semifinal round for a second consecutive year.
