Area athletes will have the opportunity to learn more about their sport by attending several camps that are taking place this week.
The first of two individual men’s basketball camps is scheduled to begin today. The camp runs through Thursday and is open to students in grades 1-8. The cost to attend both the morning and afternoon session is $125, and it costs $75 to attend one of the sessions.
The Elite Men’s Basketball Camp is scheduled from 12-4 p.m. on Friday. The elite camp costs $50 to attend.
Also this week, Tech’s football program will conduct the first of its two youth camps. The first session begins today and runs through Wednesday. Participants must be between the ages of 6 and 12. The camp runs from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. each day and costs $75 per participant.
On Thursday, Tech will host a 7-on-7 tournament for high school football teams. The camp costs $200 per team and will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration in the Hull Building. Those attending the camp will take part in round robin play in the morning and tournament play in the afternoon.
