Arkansas Tech student Claire Hodgson will be among the 47 women taking the stage tonight when the preliminary competition begins at the 2012 Miss Arkansas Pageant.
The preliminary competition will take place over three evenings. Each contestant will participate in one phase of competition each evening.
Hodgson, the reigning Miss Arkansas Tech University, will be among the contestants competing in Group C.
She will start the week with lifestyle and fitness on Wednesday. On Thursday she’ll compete in the evening wear competition and will present a vocal talent on Friday.
The competition is taking place each evening at Summit Arena in Hot Springs. For those unable to attend, the competition will be streamed online. Access the live stream.
The final round of competition will take place Saturday evening. During the 2012 Miss Arkansas Pageant, more than $87,000 in awards and scholarships will be awarded to the contestants.
