Faculty and staff involved in the Bridge to Excellence mentoring retention program are learning today how to help students be successful in college.
The Bridge to Excellence program was designed to help bridge the gap between students and success, and help the first year students navigate through their first year of college. The program allows students to not only meet, but also build relationships with people who can direct them to various resources on campus.
For over ten years, the B2E mentoring program has helped students to return at greater rates than non-participants, as well as, have higher grade point averages.
Faculty and Staff will meet their student mentees on Monday, August 20 following the How to Be “IT” session by motivational speaker Stan Pearson. Pearson will teach techniques that will help students learn how to be the best at what they do at all times.
