The Agri Club has been “cultivating leaders of tomorrow” at Arkansas Tech University since 1932.
Agri Club focuses on creating a community for students while advocating and educating others about agriculture. It provides its members the opportunity to reach out to the community through service as well as getting to know agricultural leaders.
Last year, the club focused on revamping the organization by recruiting new members, hosting several social events and focusing attending competitions.
For its efforts, the Agri Club was awarded Most Improved Organization of the Year and its advisor Dr. Malcolm Rainey was awarded Advisor of the Year for the 2011-2012 academic year. Agri Club also doubled in its member numbers.
Club officials say they are always accepting new members, and there are no membership dues.
If you would like to learn more about the Agri Club or join the organization, their first meeting will be held on Thursday, August 30th at 6 p.m. in Dean Hall Room 121.
Prospective members can look forward to cook outs, camping trips, bonfires, community service projects, and charity fundraisers.
Congratulations ATU Agri Club, the “Spotlight” is on you!
