The L :EAD Academy is a new leadership development program sponsored by Student Life. Its purpose is to prepare students to take on leadership roles on campus, in the community, and in their futures.
This will be done by discovering individual strengths and applying leadership techniques. All three phases allow the students to examine how they approach leadership and learn skills to enhance their abilities.
“Today simply having a great GPA isn’t enough for students to find jobs after graduation,” said Justine Tozer, Student Involvement Graduate Assistant. “This program will give participants a chance to expand their leadership skills, become more marketable to future employers, and better serve as leaders within many aspects of their lives.”
The Emerging Phase is a seven week program that will target discovering individuals’ strengths and how to interact with other’s strengths as well.
There are sessions open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays through out September and October.
Applications can be found at https://atu.collegiatelink.net/form/start/10663 and are due by September 5.
