Fergus finished the contest 3-for-5 with four runs batted in. Thomas Biocic and Zach Johnson added three hits apiece. Tech relief pitcher Zach Skelton (2-0) held the Crimson Storm to one run on one hit over three and one-third innings of work to earn the victory. Game 2: Arkansas Tech 8, Southern Nazarene 6 Scott Sammons’ grand slam for Arkansas Tech in the top of the first inning set the tone for an 8-6 Wonder Boys’ win over Southern Nazarene in Saturday’s nightcap. Fergus drove in two runs, while Johnson and Boone Weiss had two hits apiece. Jake Bell (2-1) pitched four and one-third innings of relief to earn the win on the mound. He surrendered two runs on four hits while striking out four. Weiss got the final three outs for his fifth save of the season. ]]>
