Arkansas Tech University students will enjoy a fall break from classes later this week.
The fall break is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
The fall break will function in the same manner as its counterpart in the spring. No classes will be held, but administrative offices will be open.
This year will mark the first year Arkansas Tech has included a fall break as part of its academic calendar.
The idea for a fall break originated with the 2014-15 Arkansas Tech Student Government Association, which researched the topic and brought forth a proposal that was accepted by the university.
