Several Arkansas Tech students collected purses and luggage to donate to those in need.
The items were given to the River Valley Shelter for Battered Women & Children to use in their efforts.
All the students are competing in the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant this summer, and they donated the items as part of Miss America Serves Day.
The students taking part (from left to right) include:
- Hannah Hatchett – Miss Johnson County
- Carly Copeland – Miss Arkansas Tech University
- Haven Brock – Miss Greater Little Rock
- McCartney Drouin – Miss Ozark Mountain
- Logan Moore – Miss Western Arkansas
Arkansas Tech student Brooklyn Woodworth is the reigning Miss Ozark Highlands, and she donated items to a shelter in Little Rock.
Miss Arkansas is an official preliminary to the Miss America pageant.
