Arkansas Tech University placed one student-athlete on the first team and three student-athletes on the second team when the Great American Conference announced its 2016 women’s tennis all-conference teams on Thursday, April 21.
Junior Macarena Sedano Acosta of Buenos Aires, Argentina, earned All-GAC first team honors.
Junior Tamara Bell of La Paz, Mexico, and two freshmen — Annabel Rowlands of Wigan, England and Teresa Sanchez of Tomball, Texas — represented Arkansas Tech on the All-GAC second team.
Head coach Abby Davis and the Golden Suns (10-12) will face East Central University in the GAC Tournament semifinals at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at Bentonville.
