Students Apply Leadership Lessons

Arkansas Tech University students had the opportunity to apply leadership lessons during the On Track program during a trip to Washington D.C. and Chicago.

During the trip, the students were able to utilize the skills obtained as part of completing the seven tracks to meet with leaders, perform community service, engage in cultural awareness opportunities and network with professionals.

The On Track program consists of seven tracks, and each track focuses on a different aspect of development including leadership, philanthropy, career and wellness.

Each semester students taking part sign up for the tracks they are interested in completing. Students may sign up for as many tracks as they would like, and to successfully complete a track, students must attend three events on the track. Tracks in the program are Active Mind and Body, Advance to Career, Aspiring Leader, Elevated Citizen, Global Focus, Leader Identified and Unite.

Students completing each of the tracks are eligible to apply for the all-expenses-paid trip to a major city.
