Arkansas Tech University remained in contention for the 2016 Great American Conference regular season volleyball championship with a 25-23, 25-23, 25-18 victory over Southern Arkansas University at the W.T. Watson Athletic Center in Magnolia on Thursday night.
With the win, the Golden Suns (20-10 overall, 10-4 GAC) moved within one match of conference co-leaders Harding University (20-6, 11-3) and Oklahoma Baptist University (17-11, 11-3) with two regular season league matches remaining.
Hunter Eshnaur led Tech on Thursday night with 13 kills and 10 digs. Kaylee Konsella added nine kills and two block assists, while Amanda Milnick made 36 assists. Matti Dix and Madison Nagel contributed 10 digs apiece.
The Golden Suns will close out the home portion of their 2016 volleyball schedule by hosting Harding for a 6 p.m. match at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Admission will be free.
