Arkansas Tech University students are helping to make a difference for students attending public schools in the area.
Dr. Jason Ulsperger, associate professor of sociology, and members of Arkansas Tech’s chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta collected shoes and socks for local elementary students.
In all, the students collected more than 250 pairs of shoes and socks that can be distributed to students in need.
Ulsperger and Jericho McElroy, adjunct professor, delivered the items to Sequoyah Elementary where they can be passed out to help students needing new shoes.
