A blood drive will be held Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus.
The drive, which will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Services Conference Center, is being co-sponsored by the Arkansas Blood Institute (ABI) and Phi Beta Lambda, the Arkansas Tech-Ozark student organization for business majors.
Each donor will receive a T-shirt, health screening and donor reward points, according to information provided by ABI.
To donate blood, one must have a photo ID; be at least 16 years old (signed parental permission required for 16 year olds); and weigh at least 125 pounds if 16 or 17, and 110 pounds if 18 or older. Also, donors should eat a good meal and drink plenty of fluids before and after donating, and get a good night’s rest beforehand.
Although walk-ins are welcome, to schedule an appointment contact Debra Wofford at (479) 508-3331. More information is available at www.arkbi.org.
