Both Arkansas Tech University basketball teams have received invitations to the 2017 NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Golden Suns (22-7) are the No. 7 seed in the women’s NCAA Division II Tournament Central Regional. They will face No. 2 seed and regional host Harding University (27-3) in the first round on Friday, March 10, at Rhodes-Reaves Field House in Searcy. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
Arkansas Tech’s women will make their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. They reached the second round of the 2016 NCAA Division II Tournament Central Regional.
The Wonder Boys (21-7) are the No. 7 seed in the men’s NCAA Division II Tournament Central Regional. They will take on No. 2 seed Southwest Minnesota State University (26-5) at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, in a first-round contest at Bearcat Arena in Maryville, Mo. Northwest Missouri State University is hosting the men’s regional.
Arkansas Tech’s men are in the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four years.
Radio station KCJC 102.3 FM and www.arkansastechsports.com will have live coverage of all ATU games during the 2017 NCAA Division II Tournament.
