Lady Bisons Take Two From Golden Suns

Nationally sixth-ranked Harding University extended its Great American Conference record for consecutive softball wins to 27 games by earning a pair of one-run victories over Arkansas Tech University at the Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex in Russellville on Tuesday.

The Golden Suns (24-14 overall, 18-8 GAC) will visit Southeastern Oklahoma State University for a four-game GAC series in Durant, Okla., on Friday, April 7, and Saturday, April 8. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.

Game One: HU 4, Tech 3

Kimmy Hendricks’ run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning propelled Harding to a 4-3 victory over Arkansas Tech in Tuesday’s first contest.

Game Two: HU 1, Tech 0

Autumn Humes pitched a one-hit shutout and Madi Trump drove in the game’s only run on a second-inning single as Harding completed the doubleheader sweep with a 1-0 victory against Arkansas Tech in the nightcap.
