Arkansas Tech University and the City of Russellville will host a ribbon cutting celebrating the official opening of the Arkansas Tech Connect Trail at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
The ribbon cutting will take place at the trail bridge, which is located halfway between the Russellville Aquatic Center and the western boundary of the ATU campus. Parking will be available on the ATU campus near the intersection of North Glenwood Avenue and West O Street as well as at the aquatic center parking lot.
Dr. Robin E. Bowen, ATU president, and Randy Horton, Russellville mayor, will cut the ribbon opening the 2,080-foot pedestrian and bicycle trail connecting the Arkansas Tech campus, the aquatic center and Bona Dea Trails.
Funding for the trail was made possible in part through a grant from the Arkansas Department of Transportation.
