As a result of the partnership, students at an additional 56 high schools throughout Arkansas will have access to concurrent college credit from ATU.
Jessica Brock, director of admissions at Arkansas Tech, estimates that approximately 700 additional concurrent students per semester will enroll with ATU once the compact goes into effect.
“This will also be a boost to our future freshman recruitment as we will have a much larger pool of concurrent students to matriculate,” said Brock. “It will also serve as a great extension of our general brand awareness.”
Arkansas Tech offers concurrent college credit through its Russellville and Ozark campuses. Beginning in fall 2018, ATU concurrent students who enroll at Arkansas Tech directly following their high school graduation will be eligible for a new scholarship.
