They are perhaps the two most influential words in the life of a university student: free sweatshirt.
Arkansas Tech University students attending the home basketball doubleheader against Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Thursday, Feb. 28, will have an opportunity to receive a sweatshirt commemorating the 2019 Gold Rush games (photographed).
Gold Rush is the annual conclusion to Wonder Week, a four-day period of school spirit-themed events planned and executed by the ATU Student Government Association and Student Activities Board.
While supplies last, sweatshirt vouchers will be available at Tucker Coliseum beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The women’s game between the ATU Golden Suns and the NWOSU Lady Rangers will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the contest between the ATU Wonder Boys and the NWOSU Rangers at 7:30 p.m.
Vouchers may be redeemed for sweatshirts at Tucker Coliseum during halftime of the men’s game.
In addition to the sweatshirts, there will be games and prizes for ATU students throughout the night. One ATU student will have an opportunity to compete in a basketball challenge for $10,000.
