Arkansas Tech University students, faculty, staff and alumni will enjoy a break from sales taxes the weekend of Aug. 3-4 when the Barnes and Noble College ATU Bookstore participates in Arkansas’ 2019 tax free holiday.
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, the annual sales tax holiday allows shoppers the opportunity to shop for school purchases tax free. Shoppers may purchase ATU clothing that is less than $100 per item, textbooks, school supplies, backpacks, art supplies and instructional materials free from sales tax during this special event.
Financial aid will be available for students to use during the tax free weekend, pending its prior approval.
