Arkansas Tech University finished eighth among 13 teams in the cross country season-opening University of Central Oklahoma Land Run at Edmond, Okla., on Saturday morning.
Aubre Gilreath was the Golden Suns’ top finisher. She completed the 5-kilometer course in 20 minutes, 1.54 seconds to earn 16th place in the individual standings.
Lauryn Doublet (46th, 21:14.76), Halle Gilreath (47th, 21:15.49), Abbie Patton (59th, 21:34.84) and Halle Stringer (82nd, 22:18.99) also competed for Arkansas Tech in Edmond.
The Golden Suns will run in the Missouri Southern State University Stampede in Joplin, Mo., on Saturday, Sept. 21.
