About The Program:
Rockline’s Industries is launching educational partnership with Arkansas Tech Career Center (ATCC) focused on providing training for high school juniors and seniors to provide them with the work-ready skills needed in for them to succeed in today’s manufacturing industry. The program is compromised of a classroom component housed at ATCC and incorporates paid internships through the Rockline Industries facility in Russellville to further the student’s learning through the practical application of their classroom training. This unique partnership engages select students in ATCC’s Automation and Computer Sciences programs with specialized training designed to ready the student as an entry-level operator.
Twenty students from ATCC’s Automation and Computer Sciences programs will be selected to pursue a paid internship with Rockline Industries with specialized training designed to ready the student as an entry-level operator.
About The Event:
Numerous state, local, business and educational leaders will speak about this unique educational partnership between Rockline and Arkansas Tech Career Center and its importance in helping to continue the growth of the Arkansas River Valley region. Speakers will include Arkansas Senator Breanne Davis, AEDC Executive Director Mr. Mike Preston, Russellville Mayor Richard Harris, ATU-President Dr. Robin E. Bowen, ATU-Ozark Chancellor Mr. Bruce Sikes, ATCC Director Mrs. Pat Edmunds, Wal-Mart representative, Russellville Chamber of Commerce CEO Mr. Paul Harvel, and Rockline Industries’ Russellville General Manager Mark Clarke.
Students from throughout the Arkansas River Valley region will enjoy plant tours throughout the day.
About The Ribbon Cutting:
As a part of the Career Accelerator Program, Rockline has installed a wet wipe production asset that is new to the Russellville facility which will serve as a hands-on learning platform for the students involved in the program.
