Arkansas Tech University accumulated a 36-hole team score of 14-under par 562 to finish fourth among a field of 19 teams at the NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Super Regional Preview at The Pearl Club in Owensboro, Ky., on Sunday and Monday.
Francois Jacobs was the Wonder Boys’ top individual finisher. He fired rounds of 64-72 for an 8-under par total of 136 and finished tied for fourth.
Austin Gean (T-9th, 73-66-139), Kellen Gray (T-36th, 74-70-144), Trevor Brunson (T-43rd, 74-71-145) and Connor Gaunt (T-49th, 72-74-146) also contributed to ATU’s team score.
Arkansas Tech’s Shawn Tsai competed as an individual and finished tied for 15th. He shot 69-71 for a 140 total.
The University of Central Missouri won the team title with a 24-under par total of 552. Lindenwood University’s Joe MacNeil finished at 11-under par 133 and won the individual title.
The Wonder Boys will compete in the LSU David Toms Intercollegiate at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, La., on Saturday, Oct. 5, and Sunday, Oct. 6.
