Brianna Merkel’s double-double of 42 assists and 30 digs led Arkansas Tech University to a 25-27, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22 Great American Conference volleyball victory over Ouachita Baptist University at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday night.
The Golden Suns (11-5 overall, 4-0 GAC) earned their 10th consecutive win and remained tied with Oklahoma Baptist University for first place in the GAC volleyball standings.
Rilie Vote notched 18 kills, Haylee Paladini recorded 14 kills and Allie Anderson made 12 kills for Arkansas Tech. Greer Rogers added three solo blocks and 10 block assists.
The Golden Suns will visit the University of Arkansas-Monticello for a 6 p.m. GAC match at Steelman Fieldhouse in Monticello on Thursday, Oct. 3.
