Arkansas Tech University opened the spring portion of its 2019-20 men’s golf schedule by finishing fourth among 15 teams in the Newberry Collegiate on Monday and Tuesday at Kiawah Island Resort in South Carolina.
The Wonder Boys posted team scores of 297-296 for a 593 total. Lynn University won the team title with a two-day total of 576.
Andre Jacobs (T-7th, 71-74-145), Connor Gaunt (T-10th, 74-72-146), Austin Gean (T-33rd, 76-75-151), Francois Jacobs (T-33rd, 76-75-151) and Kellen Gray (T-66th, 79-82-161) represented Arkansas Tech in the tournament, which was shortened from 54 to 36 holes due to darkness on Tuesday.
The Wonder Boys will return to action March 1-3 at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Las Vegas Desert Classic.
