Evan Hafley went 3-for-5 with three runs batted in to lead Arkansas Tech University to an 8-2 non-conference baseball victory over Northeastern State University Tuesday evening at Carl Baswell Field in Russellville.
ATU starting pitcher Shelby Quiggins (1-2) limited the RiverHawks to one run on five hits over five innings. He notched six strikeouts.
Shane Scott pitched two innings in relief and Chance Roberts and Zack Strickland both worked a scoreless frame to preserve the Wonder Boys’ win.
The Wonder Boys (5-9) will face Southeastern Oklahoma State University for a three-game series in Durant, Okla., Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, Feb. 29. First pitch is planned for 1 p.m. both days.
