Top Education Degrees, a resource for individuals seeking academic opportunities leading to careers in education, has recognized Arkansas Tech University in its 2020 rankings of the best master’s degrees in English language learning online.
ATU’s Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is ranked No. 1 in Arkansas and No. 9 in the United States among similar programs.
Criteria for the recognition include affordability, accreditation and institutional U.S. News and World Report rankings.
The Master of Arts degree in TESOL at ATU provides the courses needed to add an English as a second language (ESL) endorsement to an Arkansas teaching license.
According to the ATU Department of English and World Languages website, the TESOL program is designed to “provide advanced training for teachers, administrators or other professionals who work with language minority populations.”
