Eligible Arkansas Tech University students are encouraged to apply to become a fall 2021 new student orientation leader.
Applicants must be full-time, undergraduate students with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher. They must also be familiar with university policies, procedures and common campus resources, display strong communication skills and a positive attitude and possess excellent customer service skills paired with the ability to work with a variety of audiences.
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Benefits of serving as an ATU new student orientation leader include an early check-in date to residence halls for the fall 2021 semester and a $400 stipend.
ATU students are invited to visit the Hull Student Union Monday, Feb. 8, from noon-2 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 5-7 p.m. to learn more about becoming an orientation leader.
“We’re looking for a diverse group of students that wants to give back to Arkansas Tech,” said Meighan Burke, ATU director of student transition. “Serving as an orientation leader is a great opportunity for growth in areas of communication, small group facilitation and leadership.”
