ATU-Ozark Announces Hiring of Personnel

Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus has announced the addition of new faculty members and administrative staff members.

Rebecca Cheek joined the business technology program as a workforce education faculty member. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in operations management from the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Cheek has worked in the educational arena since 2014, serving as a recruiter, admissions officer, academic advisor and adjunct faculty member.

Landon Growns accepted a workforce education faculty position in mathematics.

Growns holds a Master of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Arkansas Tech.

He has been a mathematics educator since 2018 and has volunteered in Fayetteville with Celebration of Minds, an event for children and adults of the community to attend and obtain hands-on experience with mathematic puzzles and activities to help develop critical thinking and mathematic skills.

Lisa Pittman was named registered nursing workforce education faculty. She possesses a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Master of Science degree in nursing leadership and management from Western Governors University.

Pittman has worked in the medical profession since 1999 as a surgical technologist, surgical circulating nurse, field nurse, clinical manager, quality care coordinator, quality improvement coordinator for hospice, bariatric coordinator/educator, clinical nurse educator and manager, quality analyst and patient safety manager.

Blaine Snyder was named the practical nursing chair at ATU-Ozark.

Snyder holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Arkansas Tech.

She has worked in the medical field since 2009 and has experience as a skilled nursing unit charge registered nurse, resource nurse and in-house registry nurse. Snyder has served as a practical nursing educator at ATU-Ozark since 2015. She has certifications and additional training from the American Heart Association and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

On the administrative side, Shirley Bonner accepted the position of assessment coordinator in the ATU-Ozark Campus Office of Academic Affairs.

Bonner, who has been an educator since 2009, began her career at ATU-Ozark in 2018 as an administrative specialist in academic affairs. She previously served as the admissions clerk and student affairs assistant at Carl Albert State College.

Bonner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational leadership from Rogers State University and is seeking her Master of Education degree in instructional technology and design from Arkansas Tech. She serves on university committees regarding curriculum, assessment and student learning assessment.

Steven Campbell was appointed associate director of computer services at ATU-Ozark.

Campbell has eight years of experience in the information technology field, specializing in Cisco Meraki network, administration of Office 365, Avaya and 3Cx VoIP systems, as well as Eagle Eye surveillance systems. His background includes work in systems administration, network administration and server administration.

Brianna Ingram was named assistant director of academic services.

Ingram earned an Associate of General Education degree from ATU-Ozark and a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree from Arkansas Tech. She has five years experience in admissions and career pathways.
