Arkansas Tech University students are invited to an informational session about internship opportunities available through The Washington Center on Tuesday, Feb. 1.
The hybrid session will begin at 4 p.m. There will be room for up to 40 face-to-face participants in Dr. Robert Charles Brown and Jill Lestage Brown Hall room 134. Interested individuals may register for the in-person, virtual or recorded presentation by visiting https://hubs.ly/Q012MXsJ0.
The meeting will include information about internships in Washington, D.C., that can lead to academic credit. Arkansans can access up to $7,000 to participate in the program. Details are available at https://twc.edu/programs/state-scholarships.
According to its website, The Washington Center “provides immersive internships and academic seminars to students from hundreds of colleges and universities and young professionals from across the U.S. and more than twenty-five countries.”
More than 60,000 TWC alumni have earned career opportunities in fields such as law, education, social work, medicine, journalism, diplomacy, business and politics.
