Arkansas Tech University students provided nourishment for local children by participating in the spring 2022 Food for Fines program hosted by the ATU Department of Public Safety.
Food collected during the drive will benefit children served by River Valley Food 4 Kids.
For 10 non-perishable food items donated by a student, $20 in parking citations were forgiven. For 20 non-perishable food items donated by a student, $50 in parking citations were forgiven.
In all, the spring 2022 event resulted in the retirement of $820 in parking citations.
