The National Weather Service has notified the public that severe thunderstorms are likely in Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 4.
Arkansas Tech University campuses in Russellville and Ozark are included in a region that faces an enhanced risk for severe weather. Large hail, tornadoes and damaging straight line winds are all possible.
Meteorologists forecast that 6-9 p.m. will be the window of highest threat to the ATU campus in Ozark and that the ATU campus in Russellville is most likely to experience severe weather between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. These windows could change depending upon the rate at which the storms move across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
