Saturday Showcase at Arkansas Tech University on Sept. 30 will provide high school students and potential transfer students with insight about the ATU campus in Russellville.
Highlights will include opportunities for prospective students and their guests to interact with faculty members and current students, participate in an admissions application workshop, gain information about campus life and take photos with Jerry the Bulldog, ATU campus ambassador.
Saturday Showcase check-in will begin at 1 p.m. on the Crabaugh Hall lawn. Campus tours and housing tours will be available, with select tours offered in Spanish. Students will also have opportunities to attend sessions on financial aid, scholarships and the ATU University Honors program.
Beginning at 4:30 p.m., Saturday Showcase attendees will visit a college fair with information about academic programs at Arkansas Tech and join pre-game tailgating festivities on Centennial Plaza. A complimentary barbecue meal will be served to Saturday Showcase attendees at the tailgate party.
The day will conclude with a Wonder Boys football game at Simmons Bank Field at Thone Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Admission to the game will be free for Saturday Showcase participants and their registered guests.
