Arkansas Tech University will host a conference entitled “Arkansas Adjuncts: Cultivating Communities” from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20.
The conference is open to adjunct faculty members and graduate assistants who work at universities and colleges in Arkansas. Sessions will take place in Rothwell Hall, 106 West O Street on the ATU campus in Russellville.
Cost of attendance is $15 for in-person and online participants.
Featured speakers will include Dr. Julie Furst-Bowe, ATU interim vice president for academic affairs; Dr. Tim Carter, interim dean of the ATU College of Education and Health; Dr. Brett Stone, interim associate dean of the ATU College of Education and Health; and Tara Malone, ATU visiting lecturer of English.
Concurrent sessions throughout the day will provide conference attendees with opportunities to learn about career advancement, enhancing their instructional methods, increasing student engagement and more.
