Spring Break Program:
Cultural Immersion: Japan: Explore Tokyo’s vibrant metropolis, Kyoto’s timeless traditions, Nara’s ancient wonders and Osaka’s modern allure. Become immersed in the rich Japanese culture, from serene temples of Kyoto to the bustling streets of Tokyo. Italy Art Immersion: Explore the art and history of Italy in Rome, Florence and Venice. Intercultural Understanding-Germany: Connect first virtually and then in person with students from ATU’s partner university, Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) in Germany, and explore Germany’s financial center, Frankfurt, as well as several sites in Munich. Health Care and Nursing in London: Tour famous sites in London, such as Big Ben, St. Paul’s Cathedral, London Science Museum and the Royal College of Medicine and Covenant Garden. Students will learn about the historical treatment of illness and injury as well as historical nursing figures in England. Sustainable Agriculture-Costa Rica: Explore sustainable agriculture in Costa Rica. The focus of this program will be the varied tropical agriculture in Costa Rica ranging from livestock, fruit and vegetables to coffee and cacao. Participants will also explore national parks and have time to explore and interact with locals. Ireland National Parks and Resources: Ireland’s National Parks are home to a variety of landscapes from old-growth forests to soaring mountains, glistening lakes to exposed limestone landscapes. These parks protect more than just natural sites. They also protect Ireland’s culture and heritage from pre-historic times all the way to present day. Visit Galway and see Lynch Castle and St. Nicholas Church. Participants will also tour the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most spectacular sights, and much more.
